Amberley’s popular twilight meeting returns on Thursday 6 February, hosted at Rangiora Racecourse with a full afternoon of entertainment, giveaways, great food, and relaxed grass-track racing. It’s the perfect way to spend a summer day with friends, family, or your local crew.
There will be plenty of food vendors on site, along with activities including a Punters Club, Telfer Mystery Envelope giveaway, Compass FM mobile ride giveaway, and an NZ Cup photo giveaway. Adults can also enjoy live music from John Palmer.
It’s a big day for families, with loads of children’s activities and prizes happening across the afternoon, creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere both on and off the track.

Families can look forward to a huge programme of children’s entertainment, including bubble wands, a Kids Tote, “It’s in the Bag” (10 prizes), a kids’ entertainment area with face painting, Neville Barry performing for the kids, Heads & Tails for a $250 Prezzy Card, two bikes to give away, and the always-popular Hopples the Horse lolly scramble on the AMI fire truck — plus plenty more happening on the day.
