If you’re looking for something to do between Christmas and New Year, this is a great one. Gore’s Free Family Fun Day is exactly what it sounds like: racing, kids’ activities everywhere, food, music, and a full afternoon on course.

Free entry for everyone, gates open from 11am, and racing runs right through the afternoon. There’s plenty of room to spread out, so bring the gazebo, pack a picnic, and make a day of it.

Kids are well covered, with mini jeeps, a bouncy castle, pony racing, and plenty more happening throughout the day. Plus free Kids at the Trots giveaways.

There’s plenty on for the grown-ups too, with a Punters Club, live music, and the chance to win a $250 Prezzy Card in the Heads & Tails game.
