Grass Track Racing in Methven
Mt Harding Racecourse is home to the Methven Trotting Club, with harness racing held throughout the spring, summer and autumn against the backdrop of Mt Hutt.
From regular Sunday meetings to feature racedays including the Methven Cup and Green Mile, there's plenty of opportunity to enjoy a day at the trots. Entry is free, with food and drinks available on course, space to settle in beside the track and activities for the kids at selected meetings.
Bring along a picnic or catch up with friends over lunch while watching the racing. The club can also arrange dedicated areas for groups wanting to spend the day together.
