Taupō’s Summer at the Trots meeting is a relaxed, easy day at the races — free to get in, plenty happening on course, and live harness racing running through the afternoon.

Racing sits at the heart of the day, with food trucks on site, a public bar and tote facilities operating, and plenty of space to settle in and enjoy the on-track action. It’s also a chance to see harness racing at Taupō Racecourse for the first time.

There’s lots happening for families alongside the racing too, with a mix of games and activities running between races to keep kids entertained without taking away from the racing itself.
